Latourell falls locate at the Columbia gorge area near Portland, Oregon. The falls plunge 224 feet over a massive wall of columnar basalt. The fluorescent yellow color on the black rocks is from growing lichens. [+]

You achieved to a great image with the light and the composition entirely devoted to the subject. Love also how the white of the falls and the dark background contrast with the almost fluorescent yellow color.

Your comments are very thoughtful, thanks a lot! There are a lot of beautiful waterfalls in this area, for me each of them has a different character, I try to depict their uniqueness with a personal understanding. The original title for this picture was "Sing a solitude song".
