The Giant's Causeway is an amazing mass of around 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, resulting from an historic volcanic eruption. The mainly hexagonal columns are generally best photographed around sunrise or sunset. This image was taken shortly after sunrise, when there were no other visitors.
