The Kimberley region of Western Australia experiences some of the most extreme tidal movements in the world. Photographing this inter-tidal zone near Broome at low tide is an incredible experience. The twice-daily pilgrimage of the tide ensures that the same photo can never be captured twice, and the most intriguing patterns can only be photographed upon the most extreme low tides. This remarkable area is known as "Nalina Nalina" by the local Yawuru (Aboriginal) people. [+]
