This picture represent a specific period of the year for the inhabitants of Nunavut (canadian arctic) Its the time of the year when the hamlet of Grise Fiord is in darkness for 4 months and the town of Pond Inlet in barely seeing light a few hours a day. This picture from my cockpit at 28,000 feet was tried many times to perfectly capture that light and the curvature of the earth. [+]
