The day after a major wind storm, snow drifts had been bullied into fanciful shapes and were speckled with sand. The dun-coloured snow seemed to have the faded delicacy of an old master etching. I used the trees to add visual tension to the otherwise sensuous silhouette of the wind blown landscape. Two images were merged to create a panoramic format which suggests the expansiveness of the landscape. [+]

This image looks like your work, Larry: so personal and intriguing. The color resulting from sand and snow is definitely captivating and unusual. The contrast given by the trees is also well seen, with a perfect angle with the dune that gives a stong geometrical harmony. Superb realisation !
