About photographer

Ernő Endre Gergely is from Csíkszereda, Transylvania, Romania.

He started his studies in fine arts at a young age and continued through high school, where he studied drawing, painting, sculpting and photography. After finishing high school he went to University of Partium Keresztény Egyetem in Nagyvárad (Oradea) where he received his diploma in graphic design in 2009.

In 2014 he spent six months on the Azores islands where he was working as a macro and field work photographer for the Azores University of Science, taking pictures of small beetles under microscopic lenses for cataloging. Those six months left a deep impression on him, influencing his work to come. Most of the time he is freelancing as a graphic designer and practicing photography.
