~ Blue ice unearthed from a frozen lake in the undiscovered heart of the Lofoten (2018). This alien, almost metallic looking slab of ice sticking out from the fresh snow caught my eye while walking along the shore of this lake. It's a strange sensation wandering here. The crisp air at minus 10 C doesn't feel cold, the lake looks way smaller than it actually is and the silence is deafening. I almost welcomed the sound of a car in the distance passing by, knowing that we're still on Earth and not on some far-away fantasy world. "Hoth" came to mind a number of times. [+]
