So here is Barrika’s beach, in the Spanish Basque Country area. I went there during September 2016 in order to shoot a thunderstorm. These rocky lines are the result of the encounter between two plates and they have always been a very inspiring sight to me. In my eyes, they look like some buried reptile’s body. I had to go four times to that beach to get all the necessary conditions gathered together to realize this picture. The tide in particular has been a challenging one. Coming from the mediterranean area myself, this is one natural phenomenon I am far from being accustomed to.
