This year has been challenging for many, with unstable economies, political insecurities, and for many, personal setbacks. All these test our resilience and put strains on our lives. How we deal with it all is different for everyone but for me seeking support from loved ones and concentrating on photography helps me to stay grounded.
We all have different needs and approaches to photography, but I strongly believe that the basis for each of us is the same, to grow. Everything on this earth is evolving, so we should too. Although I am particularly drawn to seascapes, I cannot resist photographing trees, snow, and frost when winter comes.
At the end of every year, when all my professional projects are finished, I give myself more time to try new angles and new photographic techniques - without restrictions, the fear of judgment, or preconceived ideas about artistic rules. As a result of such creative freedom, I develop and reinforce my preferences and strengths.
As Christmas time is approaching, I wish you all peace and happiness, but also a fulfilling creativity time that will reset your minds and recharge your spirit. Photography is an important form of self-expression that reduces stress and improves mood, so find some ‘me’ time and keep creating!
