Selection of March 2018: Above All Else by Weihao Pan

Above All Else by Weihao Pan

Nyenchen Tanglha East range, it's one of the most beautiful regions of Tibet in my opinion. You can see over many 6000+M peaks, fall color, waterfall, glaciers, valley, and lakes. All these stuff wrapped in one package in this region.

However, there are more than just rock and snow-covered big mountains in Tibet. I found some rocky spikes while I exploring down in a remote valley in the fall season. These giant big walls are home to eagles. I saw couple eagles flying around these walls and with the mist and fog around the mountains.

I waited there for a while until everything looked just perfect. Then I held up the camera and continuously shot the scene and finally got this image which I satisfied with. I envy the freedom of the eagle, flying out of the mist and above everything else, it must be a great view.

In post-processing, I kept the lighting of the scene darken, and enhanced the mysterious feeling of the scene. On the other hand, maintain a lighter lighting around the eagle, which I felt can draw the viewers’ eyes.
