I have taken photos of this mountain many times over the last 10 years. I was happy to shoot in different conditions and different actions up on top of the mountain. I managed to return to the place with my camera once the rough conditions created something different from my prior pictures taken from the same place.
That day, I was lucky with the weather conditions, as the strong winds, combined with fast-moving clouds, created an interesting opportunity to get to the top cable car station and wait for the best composition. To my surprise, the group of mountaineers was heading to the very top of Breithorn, which was whipped by severe winds. So, I managed to wait for the best position of the mountaineers heading to the top. And the image is the result.
The biggest difficulty I considered was waiting in such rough conditions. Despite wearing my gloves, my fingers were frozen, and it was hard to wait for the best composition as they became less sensitive and almost frozen. The wind was so strong at my place, too.
Post-processing has been rather simple: I just adjusted BW tones and contrast for the best result.
